Another reason to quit smoking!

A recent study shows that the combination of poor air quality days as well as exposure to second hand tobacco smoke are risk factors for asthma in children aged 6-15. This study looked at 82 children and monitored their rescue inhaler (albuterol) use as well as a marker for inflammation. Both albuterol usage and inflammation were higher in these children on days with poor air quality and even more so when there was an additional exposure to second hand smoke. Just more reason to quit smoking!
